INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

Year of Establishment: 2023

Establishment of IQAC:

Manjulabai Bhondekar College. Bhandara Keeping in enhancement the Standard view of quality and maintaining of higher education, Manjulabai Bhondekar College, Bhandara established IQAC in College. It initiated several quality related mechanisms to enhance consciousness among stake holders and adopting healthy practices.

Vision:

Striving to address the need of quality and commitment to excellence.

Mission:

To promote holistic development of students by offering quality education and to prepare them to embrace the challenges of changes that new technology brings in the process of globalisation.

Goals:

To prepare the students to be aware of the challenges of a rapidly changing society and to adopt themselves accordingly and to equip them with the skills and attitudes which are more likely to provide them with the means to be competitive in such an environment • To promote participation of all the stakeholders.

    As per the guidelines of the NAAC, IQAC of the institution shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for

  • Enduring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching.
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services.

    Contribution of IQAC towards quality enhancement is as follows

  • Planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating quality initiatives by governing body..
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Documentation of various activities programs conducted.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for guiding, coordinating and monitoring academic, administrative and other supporting activities.
  • Coordinates between external agencies and other institutions.
  • Facilitation and creation of learner centric environment by motivating the usage of ICT and practices for participatory teaching, learning process.

    IQAC will facilitate the institution in the following manner.

  • Focus in institution functioning towards quality enhancement.
  • Providing sound basis for decision making to improve institutional functioning.
  • Improvement in internal communication system.
  • Enhancement and integration among various activities of the institution.
  • Promoting various good practices.
  • Development of quality culture and quest for excellence.

IQAC Database

An attempt to collect and digitize reports of all activities and other relevant information. All the departments are informed to make soft copy of the reports of all activities undertaken and upload through the tab given below -

Goals:

To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the HEIs; To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • Development and application of quality benchmark/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the HEI;
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
  • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education;
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the HEI for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices;
  • Development and maintenance of Institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality;
  • Development of Quality Culture in HEI;
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the HEI based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (like NAAC, NBA, AB) in the prescribed format;
  • Bi-annual development of Quality Radars (QRs) and Ranking of Integral Units of HEIs based on the AQAR’
  • Interaction with SQARs in the pre and post accreditation quality assessment, sustenance and enhancement endeavors.
  • Ensure heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
  • Ensure internalization of the quality culture;
  • Ensure enhancement and integration among the various activities of the institution and institutionalize good practices;
  • Provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning;
  • Act as a dynamic system for changes in the HEIs;
  • Build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication
